There is a time and a place for each part. At Volt Industrial Plastics, we create all kinds of different parts for you to use in manufacturing to help the end product be put together simply and effectively. Each part is very different, even though many generally accomplish the same thing. They hold things together. But the difference between having EXACTLY the right part, and one that will just kind of, sort of do, is huge. Both rivets and push in clips can help you put together all the pieces, but how do you know which one would be better? A certain type of rivet? Or something else entirely? Here are a few types of rivets and how each one can be applied differently for your specific purpose:

These can come in all different types and sizes, but the main benefit of snap rivets is that they require no power tools for installation. You simply snap the male/female parts together for a quick and easy assembly. Many times, this is ideal when the end user is unlikely to have tools readily available and wanting a quick and easy setup. A perfect example is furniture. Someone is ordering your product from Amazon and assembling the item on their own. A few screws and bolts for the big stuff, and then the snap rivets to finish it off! Removal of these can be difficult so it's better suited for a more permanent application.

These rivets are different than the snap version because they squeeze together to fit any panel thickness. They are most commonly used for cardboard displays, but they can be used in many other applications as well. They have serrated teeth that are used to grip onto each other when pushed together and can come with an extension for wider panels.While our rivets come in all types of varieties, there are push in clips that we offer as well to meet other needs and hit different price points.
